There are 4 things that keep me up at night:
- Happiness. Being too inspired from watching something, reading something, had a great time with family and friends, or getting nice compliment, I can’t sleep. I usually end up writing journal or blogging, bugging my sister that we’ll talk more over delicious coffee or cake about my happiness, or just day dream more. I love the feeling of just can’t stop being grateful and smiling.
- Excitement. I love giving surprises and when I prepare a nice surprise for someone I care about, I usually cannot contain my excitement the moment I plan for it then eventually preparing with much love. New experience can equally give me that excitement that could make me basically skip sleep or sleep the following day when the sun says hello to the world.
- Full Stomach. Too much caffeine, delicious plenty of meal before bed time, or drinking lots of Coca Cola or Pepsi. I think it’s the guilt and the thought that I have to stay awake to keep my body digest all those yum.
- Problem. Work due to being responsible can keep me awake and end up drinking the needed Turkish coffee the following day to keep the eyes wide open. Ranting too much in my head and praying for wisdom so I would calm down and start enjoying the purity of life.

This one affects me too, our family goes out to late dinners once a month, and I get too Full from all the good food. So I stay awake too. 🙂
Truly Jackie! Dine out with good company + good food = stay awake smiling 😉
