[1: 141 of 10,000] Weekends Are Also A Star

In Reference, Review on March 20, 2011 at 10:21 AM

I am still using a non-digital organizer. I still like to write, cross out, check, and doodle.  But I am really disappointed for so many organizers produced that don’t give a red carpet treatment for Saturdays and Sundays. Star treatment meaning they should have equal space as Mondays to Fridays.

What are the logic of the manufacturers and designers? Is it because weekends are supposed to be short and non-business and organizers were meant for business? Why give it a space if the weekend will be spent sleeping? Or is it fun time anyways that it doesn’t need to be planned?

My Dilemmas

Being in an Arab country first of all, the weekends here in United Arab Emirates are Thursdays and Fridays or Fridays and Saturdays depending on the organization. I am at work on Saturdays and Sundays, so this wide space maybe good enough for others but having a minor OCD I am not happy and comfortable at all times writing on the divided weekends intended for other countries.

I just think that every single day is equally special and important and shouldn't be judged on what is assumed how a certain person would spend the weekend. If weekend are meant for personal life, the more a person should fill it with wonderful activities to enrich it. I also make the planner a journal so if this is my journal and I want to tell the wonderful things that has happened for the day, I might just have enough space to just put the "Title" or one big expression that would envelope the whole experience like "Wow!"

  1. equal space for every day, of course, that would be more intelligent; for example: I’m writing (and living) every day
