[1: 145 of 10,000] Anyway

In Aphorism, Article, Drawing on March 24, 2011 at 8:09 PM

My pen sketch doesn't give justice to the sincere smile given by Mother Teresa when she sees Jesus in every beautiful human being.

The aphorisms mentioned on “Anyway” sure rings a bell, I probably read this from somewhere way back but at that time it didn’t stick to me. This week a close friend of mine shared Mother Teresa’s version and it paved my belief on how we are all supposed to act in our lifetime.

I made more online browsing about the awesome masterpiece and found out that it was originally written by Kent Keith (1968, 19-year-old Harvard student then wrote it for high school leaders), which was later rewritten with religious touch by Mother Teresa (posted to a wall of her orphanage in Calcutta). The history itself is rich with trivia.

Below is what I’ve come up with combining both and made a little twist. I sincerely hope that you’ll love it the way it is changing me right now. The little things that used to push my button are slowly diminishing. I am more excited about life as it unfolds and learning to enjoy the company of everyone without fear, without hesitations, without walls.

People are often illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are doing good and simply being kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good and be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

Being honest and sincere can sometimes make you feel vulnerable and
may even make some people deceive you.

Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

A challenging call but truly the bestest way to live!

Click here if you want to see the original masterpiece from the two great minds.
