Many were written about the sanctity of life and also about the right of human to terminate his own life. The simple use of the word “right” followed by the termination of life is still attached with questions, debate, and uncertainties.
The prompt today at The Daily Post asked, “Do you think people should have the right to commit suicide? What about euthanasia?”
People think of ending their life because they feel their sufferings have to end. Do we really have the right to challenge those who suffer that they can emerge winner from their pain by not ending their life but battling whatever their demons are until their last gift of breath? Did they really lose all their hopes?
With our knowledge of what we thought we know after death and depending on the religion you follow, it could lead you to different consequences; and from what I know and believe it is not going to be a pleasant journey.
I cannot speak for those who decided to commit either suicide or euthanasia because I don’t know what they feel, but what I know in my heart, I expect life to have troubles to solve to ask me to become better and eventually the best that I can be. I will not give up because I want to see my beautiful triumph and there can’t be just one triumph, it is a victory every time we conquer one battle after another. I also believe that God gave me a cross that I can carry, if it felt like I can’t handle it anymore, I seek the best help with the use of His gift of discernment.
