1795R-48466A man spilled hot coffee on his perfectly ironed long sleeves minutes before a very important meeting. True story.

His boss laughed at him because he thought it was quite funny. I didn’t. He didn’t. Is this one of those situations where me and him should find humor to unfortunate events like our boss?

I helped him with tissue paper and wipe the coffee from his mobile phone. The boss went back to the video camera to try to find out if he could see the funny incident all over again. Is this being too serious on my side or the boss was being an ass?

He was quite silly for that accident but hey it is one of those days. I just don’t think he deserved being laughed at. Re-watching the video is I think just below normal but cruel instead.

  1. Accidents do happen. What can you do? Try to make the best of it! I think usually people can cope better if they can laugh about it. Being very stressed because of this important meeting probably didn’t help. People who do not get stressed easily probably can cope with the situation better.

If the boss had tried to calm him down instead of laughing at him this definitely would have been better! I hope the meeting turned out all right despite this little accident.

    • It turned out all right… he wore the suit’s jacket so it was not obvious at all. Good thing the client was late and there was enough time to dry it up! šŸ˜‰
