[1: 648 of 10,000] Being Half Chinese & Balikbayan In The Philippines

I heard stories from pure Filipinos who are either working or living abroad that once they go back in the Philippines they are expected to treat the whole community.

Being half Chinese and half Filipino by blood and growing up with mixed cultures too; I have certainly have a different experience and it is having families and friends treating me with so much food. To give you an example, below was the feast served in one of the dinners.

We (family most especially for my Mum) finally found where to buy the best mini pao in Dubai. The Noodle Room is a winner for serving the best Bao (China), a classic, the filled steamed bun.

The bun is pretty soft and delicious. The filling is forgettable but it doesn’t matter because the king is the well made dough.

The restaurant was not very refined but I would still go back to that restaurant for the bun. Definitely!

I’m watching Bobby Chinn who visited Singapore and he was in a tour with one funny man who has great appetite like his.

The tourist guide said, “Chinese loves to eat, they eat everything, they eat everything with legs except table, they eat everything with wings except airplane.”

I guess I’m Chinese then.
