To change a habit is possible.

I have always preferred white sugar for my tea, because it is sweet and I don’t want to be part of the crowd who is too conscious about what they eat… it felt pretentious and involved a lot of work. I thought few white sugar couldn’t possibly turn me into a giant whale.  After few sessions at the gym with a watchful trainer, I decided that I can change and choose to be healthy.

At first, I will have to bear to eat foods that are healthy even if they don’t taste delectable to my palate, like using sweetener instead of a regular sugar. Eventually, I couldn’t really tell if it took more than a week and I could distinctly taste that the white sugar is “too sweet” and I couldn’t eat chocolates or cookies anymore knowing it is excessive with unhealthy sugar.

Habit like taste preference can be changed in my story, either for my betterment or to my detriment. The choice has always been mine, and it is only when I become open to try a new way that I will find out and ready to give my sincere effort. I can survive now without white sugar not because I am forced but I just accept that I could.

[1: 1,841 of 10,000] Speak Good

In Journal on December 26, 2016 at 10:20 PM

Are you tired of bad things happening around us?

Are you complaining about a close family member not doing well?

Are you pissed about an annoying friend?

Instead of saying the bad things, be a prophet and wish them well. Pray for the good things that you hope for them. You do love them right? It shouldn’t be so hard to focus on the good and wish only for more nice things to happen.

The world needs LOVE. The Food Network has a show called the Holiday Baking Championship and I’ve seen Season 2, which was lovely to watch because the competitors were kind with one another. They are not ruthless, cutthroat, or deceiving instead they truly enjoy baking sweets and were sweet with all the contestants. If only we do that in real life, this world is just lovely!

[1: 1,818 of 10,000] Face The Difficult

In Article on November 29, 2016 at 12:44 AM

I am afraid of the difficult because I am afraid to fail; but I believe that growth and success of the future stem there.

Hearing the interview of James Altucher with Seth Godin inspired me to face my road blocks and keep persevering.

Seth Godin & James Altucher

My favorite lessons from the podcast talk were:

  1. A great work or business is made of a good taste or a true art meaning a job that is excellent, nothing less.
  2. In life or in business, ask the question: “Is this going to contribute for a positive change that I seek?”
  3. Would you like to lead a tribe? Make sure to show up and give value. Make sure that the answer to the question “Is it worth it?” will blow everyone’s mind.
  4. Lift up the pressure and know what you need to break even and be mindful to deliver a work that you can be proud of.
  5. Keep evolving and be brave to serve new tribe only with good intentions. Don’t settle to keep showing the same great things to the same crowd. Expound!

[1: 1,733 of 10,000] We’re Not Done

In Article on June 25, 2016 at 12:35 PM

I believe what I heard that evolution is not yet done. At the same time, I don’t think creation made before was ever a mistake; it was simply part of the continuous evolution of everything. Isn’t that beautiful? We are constantly evolving, now the choice is whether growing to be better or to get very worst.

Once upon a time there were dinosaurs and they’ve become extinct. We currently have nuclear bombs that could evolved to all human becomes enlightened and realised that war and mass destruction are not the way to move forward. It’s a battle indeed right, to follow the good and drop what’s evil; and precious beautiful human is capable of evil.

Were you ever bored? I am fascinated with boredom especially when I start drifting on thoughts and actions I am never ever going to be proud of. Dreaming of perfect is not the end, that’s just the beginning, effort and action must follow to get a result, and then start again.

Hey the good thing is we’re not done, unless we stopped breathing, we’re not yet done and we can make a choice no matter how weird it may be if it gives joy and save at least just one soul even if that soul is our very own.

[1: 1,506 of 10,000] What Do I have?

In Journal on June 23, 2015 at 6:32 PM

I have my integrity, my honesty, and my passion to matter in this world, to do something worthwhile for people, and as much that I wanted to win the adoration of every individual, I just reached the point that I don’t have to please everybody all at once now, the others could follow in their own time. 😉

I have to try to live up to what I believe, disagreeing with someone isn’t the end of the world, and I don’t have to keep defending myself or beg. Begging doesn’t work at all. It’s either you give something unselfish or remove yourself in the group who doesn’t value people with good intention.

I know who I am and I will never let anyone take my happiness again or convince me that I have questionable values. I have been through so many obstacles in life and have struggled to always do what’s right that I would keep the space from someone who couldn’t recognise love and peace in its truest essence.

Despite all the cruelty, I couldn’t hate. Hating is bad! People are not perfect, we made mistakes, so everybody just need to move on with the hope that both parties learned the lesson. I have to toughen up and never cry about this again.

[1: 1,460 of 10,000] Toasted White Bread & Butter

In Article on May 8, 2015 at 11:24 AM

Who do you believe nowadays? They said brown bread is better than white; and then another study says all along white bread is better at keeping your brain healthier in the long run. Who is telling the truth?

Here’s what I live by.

I listen to my gut feeling even if it’s not nutritionally smart like who wants to eat greasy Chinese noodles (I do!)

Since the beginning of time, I love white bread, whether it’s good or bad to my body, I eat what is palatable! I also like butter on top of my bread, salted preferred, and I want white sugar for my tea or coffee. To the health conscious reading this, yes I may die sooner than anticipated or I may not.

Toasted White Bread & Butter

I think anything in life, moderation is key, and unless a certain action is really inexcusable, then no amount of moderation can defend it. Killing a man with a single gun shot in his head for instance is a no no but giving him white bread and salted butter every single day of his life, well you’re on to something. 😛
