[1: 1,085 of 10,000] Salt

SaltAmazing how grains of salt make significant change to a dish. It is so important that it transforms and binds all the different ingredients into one.

It is like saying life wouldn’t be complete without God.

It is considering that life without love is blunt.

We should strive to be a salt in the middle of our chaotic challenges in life. Let us strive to be so great that we become indispensable all because of our very existence. Let us produce magnificent work out of love. Lets be salt to the world.

[1: 881 of 10,000] My Lessons Learned for 2012

In Journal on December 31, 2012 at 12:00 AM

Whew 2012 was fast!

January – I was searching for a Dubai Residence Visa.
February – I was jobless and was accompanying Mum to her frequent hospital check-ups.
March – Spent quality time with Mum being confined in the hospital quite a lot.
April – Joined a new company. First time to be in a real estate industry.
May – We lost our dearest Mum. Got the chance to go see Philippines again after 2 years.
June – I turned 32. Moved to a brand new Apartment that I adore!
July – I was coping and enjoying my work. Thankful for Ramadan timing.
August – House MD ended and got disappointed with the ending.
September – It was a blur and I just kept working.
October – I received a call from someone I’ve known from the past. He made me resign.
November – Did my turn over for the real estate company.
December – Inspiring! Joined a new company. I got a little bit crazy on crushing. I am visiting Jordan for the first time. I am learning so much from myself.

2012 was filled with so many things that would change me forever.

I have to act very grown up now that we also lost our Mum. No more parents but just my sissies and I, yes we got each other and we got to stay strong and make sure we turn our life to the best paths. I call on God more often now because He loves us and supports us unconditionally.

I know what my dreams are and it’s a matter of taking the steps to make it a reality. I am very excited for the future but I’m sure thankful with the lessons I’ve learned today.

I love blogging. ♥ Despite the challenges, I was able to make a blog post for 365 days. It was not simply my love for blogging but my true and forever romance with words.

My first ever attempt to make a Lamb Biryani. It was blazing hot! Not the very good taste kind of hot but it was too spicy!!!

Next attempt would be tamer and more of my taste and right kind of Filipino-Chinese blend. Good bye ridiculously added quantities of Chilis, Chili Flakes, Saffron, Turmeric and Ginger.

I am half Chinese. I love Noodles.

The greatest compliment I received is having to cook one that tasted like my Mum’s. My mum makes the best tasting Stir Fry Noodles and to be compared with her is surely a big time compliment! She taught me well. ♥

Noche Buena 2012

The famous dinner before Noche Buena. This big pasta sure filled the family’s tummies! The Margarita drinking was a good decision during the food prep for Noche Buena. Heavy dinner before the feast was fun to avoid hunger and headache.

A joint effort between me and sissy. Thanks to Marks & Spencers Fat Pasta and Bechamel Sauce that were the key ingredients plus some shitake mushrooms, turkey ham bits, few basil leaves and coriander on top to garnish.

I wonder what would you like as birthday gift Jesus? I thought I would make you proud if I’d make a promise of goodness. The one thing where I always fail and this time I am going to make it a commitment to you to be behave on that aspect.

I love you and I recognize your greatest gift that you gave up your life for my sins. I can never love you enough but I will try to make you smile as much as I can, as often that I can.

Happy Birthday and we got you an Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake ♥ I hope you’ll love it!
