[1: 1,587 of 10,000] Luxurious Things

In Article on September 12, 2015 at 10:08 PM

Expensive things have always been a status symbol. It could make somebody feel more valued, stand more confident, and sadly sometimes encouraged people to swag with arrogance.

I have to admit that I do crave for expensive things but now if I know that I would feel a little inch taller because of a thing, I cringe and question my true confidence and beauty. A thing shouldn’t be the source of a wrongful pride or taking position in society for wrongful power.

I would like to be known as “the woman who changed the world for the better” and not she’s “the woman who carries a Hermes bag and oh she changed the world.” We have to admit that luxurious things are indeed overpriced but they are of really good quality, delicate craftmanship, and could stand the test of time. I really like how carefully it was crafted or manufactured with utmost care.

When I can really afford it, I’ll get luxurious items but if I couldn’t then I am happy to have a humble purse that carries my daily necessities. I’m at peace with that.
