[1: 1,267 of 10,000] Dumb Ways To Die

In Review on January 10, 2014 at 1:37 PM

Dumb Ways To Die is a game my sister played on her iPhone. I don’t really play on my phone because I don’t find enjoyment, I only get frustrated, nervous, and completely annoyed. I am not great at puzzles and most of the time I am out of coordination; I am not perfect and let us leave it as that.

What caught my attention for this game is actually its theme song. The melody reminds of the movie “500 Days of Summer” or a any Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler romantic comedy movie. Watch and listen to its ridiculous cuteness!!!

In case you want to ask if I’ve ever played the game… not even once! But I’ve listened to the song and watch it more than once. πŸ˜‰ I just have a different trip in life.

[1: 1,230 of 10,000] Very Current Commercial

In Review on December 4, 2013 at 10:21 PM

I like this new Turkish Airline advertisement.

Spot the current trends:

  1. Selfie – A real brand new word that is currently loved.
  2. Smart touch screen phone – Technology’s treat.
  3. Travel is a real statement and surprisingly easier now! Tourism is encouraged in most countries.
But some things never grow old:
  1. Men will always be competitive, to outwit anyone. We want to win and with that we push ourselves to become creative.
  2. Endorsement works especially tapping different audiences by combining 2 different sports personalities.
  3. We respond to humor. I will remember that Turkish Airline once upon a time had fun series of advertisements.
On a realistic note, may we truly use technology to CONNECT. It should not put a dent to physically touch someone and speak with someone face to face. And may we use our creativity to explore new possibilities to make life FUN!

[1: 1,182 of 10,000] Brand New Book

In Journal on October 21, 2013 at 11:41 PM

macbook_airI am finally making my first blog post with my new MacBook Air!!!

It feels exciting trying to memorise new keyboard shortcuts and well I got to enjoy the clean keyboard too. There are still more things to set-up though from my favourite and important web pages, files that I always access, and install other softwares.

I’ve noticed that the language option I selected was now asking me to spell in British English instead of American – am I turning into a Brit now! Studying in the Philippines means I am accustomed and leans more on American way but it doesn’t hurt saying “lift” instead of “elevator” every once in a while.

I could imagine making beautiful articles and hopefully my very first book to be published with this beautiful piece of technology that I got myself for Eid and Gitex mania. This is super! Finally building to inspire me to work smarter and not be overwhelmed or find time to be negative in this lifetime.

Cheers to a beginning of an epic history.

[1: 1,173 of 10,000] My Very Own Sleek MacBook Air

In Review on October 12, 2013 at 12:00 AM

I am converting into MacBook Air.

macbookairI don’t say I didn’t love Microsoft for a very long time but I was convinced that iPhone is a great smartphone for me and I am willing to become an expert of MacBook this time. Change and learning new things are good and a wonderful exercise for my brain. Although I am still purchasing the Microsoft Office for Mac because I can’t totally abandon my beloved MsOffice just like that.

I got myself an 11″ MacBook Air because of the following reasons:

  1. It is super light! Air that is!! I am tired of carrying heavy laptops.
  2. It is thin that is just perfect to my cute hands.
  3. It is my very own. I can blog and put my very personal files.
  4. It looks really really sleek.
  5. I shall belong to a group called Apple babies.

[1: 1,088 of 10,000] Online Has Answers

In Review on July 20, 2013 at 12:00 AM

ForumI love Internet and how people in the world wide web share information.

I got my new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E430 and by accident I locked my screen, which mean it is impossible for me to go from one cell to another using the arrows up, down, left, and right in Microsoft Excel especially if it doesn’t have that dedicated key that unlock it instantly.

With the power of googling and online forums I found the answer. Simply press Fn & C.

Thanks to xe77 who accidentally found out the answer!

[1: 1,070 of 10,000] Wireless Headphone Got My Thumbs Up

In Review on July 2, 2013 at 12:00 AM

I am not a very TechCom-Wireless-Headphonetechy gal but this Tech-Com Wireless Headphone which I got for free amazes me.

It was really easy to set-up which is a plus for me who try to operate things by feel and not really reading through an instruction.

The cushion for the ears are comfy. I hear good quality sounds. I can go around the house while still listening to great melodies. It’s a good piece of product and invention.

[1: 1,022 of 10,000] Candy Crush Saga

candy_crush_saga

My sisters, friends, and boss included are hooked with Candy Crush Saga. I have nothing against them for enjoying the game but I never played it and have no intention of even trying because I will probably get annoyed, addicted, and end up feeling guilty that I have better things to do than playing a game.

It does teach my sisters patience especially for waiting a life and give them excitement on the part of outsmarting one another. They also kidnapped my iPhone and installed the app while I was sleeping so they can play with it even if I said I don’t want them to do that.

It’s not because I am being too good for those stuffs but I am not willing to give up TV and blogging so that is just about enough to keep me busy and addicted with something else. πŸ˜‰

[1: 979 of 10,000] iPhoning Syndrome

In Article on April 3, 2013 at 12:00 AM

iphone4_whiteI was quite tired a lot lately, restless, or stubborn because I was getting addicted to checking social websites on my iPhone before I go to bed, which is already quite late (12am or even 1ish) after a long day of crucial hectic work. It’s like one of my vices of loving to watch television wherein I am called a couch potato.

What do I love to check anyway?

  1. Instagram – I love double tapping photos and it gets me high with delight for all the creativity, cuteness, and beauty.
  2. Facebook – To get in touch with family and friends.
  3. Twitter – For my dose of quick inspiration.
  4. Yahoo! Mail – Where I receive my subscription from brilliant people like Bo Sanchez.
  5. Gmail – Personal and serious adult (monthly bills, bank statements) stuffs.
  6. Company Email – Where did that come from? I have no life and I sometime cannot help myself to check if there is a new work email – a real sign of a workaholic.

Disclaimer: In case you’re wondering, my Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter account don’t have the same content. I like to keep their personality distinct and unique. I don’t like it when people post the same thing across all platforms especially if I follow them in all social network sites; I find that unimaginative, lazy, and redundant.

I am training myself to stop this addiction because I needed good rest. So far I am still on track on my New Year’s Resolution that I sleep daily not necessarily the good at least 4 hours everyday but the point is I still sleep, which is comforting.

[1: 762 of 10,000] It’s Time β™₯ Imagine Dragons

In Review on September 15, 2012 at 8:40 AM

I watched Apple Special Event online and heard this up beat song used for the video capturing the opening of a very chic Apple Store in Barcelona.

I like the lyrics, the melody, the voice and just the totality. Good job from Imagine Dragons, a US band.

So this is what you meant
When you said that you were spent?
And now it’s time to build from the bottom of the pit right to the top
Don’t hold back
Packing my bags and giving the Academy a rain check

I don’t ever wanna let you down
I don’t ever wanna leave this town
‘Cause after all this city never sleeps at night

It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
That I’m never changing who I am

So this is where you fell
And I am left to sell
The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell right to the top
Don’t look back
Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check

I don’t ever wanna let you down
I don’t ever wanna leave this town
‘Cause after all this city never sleeps at night

It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
That I’m never changing who I am

It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
That I’m never changing who I am

This road never looked so lonely
This house doesn’t burn down slowly
To ashes!
To ashes!

It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
That I’m never changing who I am

It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
That I’m never changing who I am
